Out of this world arts event celebrating the moon landings

As I walked through the doors of this calm Parish Church, the sight was awe-inspiring. Whilst I focussed on the moon and the beam of light upon it, a child caught my eye as she was standing still amongst the crowd and just smiled.

A 7 meter bright moon with Nasa imagery, brought in harmony with the sound of BAFTA winning composer Dan Jones, in celebration of the moon landings 50 years ago. Luke Jerram creates art projects which excite and inspire people around the world, I was honoured to see this magnificent piece.

This was a project called Dorset Moon an arts event by Luke Jerram’s internationally acclaimed Museum of the Moon. Organised by Bournemouth Arts By the Sea Festival and Inside Out Dorset.
